Choose which finger you’d like your new ring for, then select a ring that already fits comfortably on it.

Measure the inner diameter -without including the band, just the straight line through the center of the circle.

Get a strip of paper or a piece of string and wrap it around the finger you intend to wear the ring on ensuring that it can go over your knuckle.

Mark the spot where the paper or string meets and measure the distance with a ruler.
