August moves a little differently at pico.
Every piece begins with me at my bench, but bringing it to life often involves the hands of a small network of trusted craftspeople, from casting and stone setting to engraving and plating.
Slow making has always been at the heart of pico., and we believe there should be space for slow living, too.
August is traditionally a time when many of the small workshops and craftspeople we work with take their summer break and we do the same. It’s a chance to step away, recharge and make space for what comes next. A clear mind has room for new ideas, and this little reset is part of how we return to the bench excited, inspired and ready for the season ahead.
What this means for your orders
- Order by 3 August if you’re hoping to receive your piece before our summer slowdown. If you need something by a particular date, please get in touch before ordering so I can let you know what’s possible.
- You can still place orders throughout August. Orders that require making will be added to our production queue and processed once our workshops return.
- Ready-to-ship pieces will still be dispatched as soon as possible throughout the month.
- I’ll be away from the studio from 11–25 August, so replies and dispatches may be a little slower during this time.
- Normal making and dispatch times resume in September, when we’ll all be back at our benches and ready to begin again.
Thank you for giving us the space to make slowly, rest properly and return with fresh eyes.
