The Story

Hi, my name is Love.

A maker above anything else. I love getting my hands dirty. I like exploring new disciplines. Experimenting with new materials. Collaborating with creatives.

Here's a few things about me and my brand, pico.

My business started in 2005 as a hobby via MySpace and back then it was called Little Darling Handmade, inspired by the lyrics of the Beatles song, Here Comes the Sun.

After graduating from high school in 2005, I spent the next few years working in retail while also working on my brand on the side until 2007 when I left Greece to study abroad. I did Fashion Design in UCA Rochester, class of 2010.

After graduating, I moved to London and spent the next ten years working in various different roles in the fashion sector until May 2017 when I decided to move back to my hometown, Thessaloniki to work on pico. full time.

My jewellery collection features minimalistic designs that you can mix & match and wear every single day. They are crafted in 24K gold vermeil and sterling silver but if you're feeling fancy I can make every single piece in solid gold too. More information on solid gold pieces: here.

In 2017 I designed a range of knits which I produced with the help of my parents who were knitwear designers and set up their brand, VIDEO back in the 90s. My aim was to build a capsule wardrobe of minimal sweaters perfect for everyday wear, you can view the collection here.

It was such a wonderful thing to collaborate with my parents so I decided to do another collaboration with family members, this time with my mum and her sister. Together they make Four Hands Studio. They are super talented cross-stitchers and were kind enough to lend me their magic by creating a range of colourful cushion covers for my shop. View these beauties here.

During the three month lockdown in 2020 due to the restrictions on things I could spend my time doing, I felt the need to express my creativity a lot more than I did before so went back to using my sewing machine. I started with lil tops and soon moved on to face masks which I made using remnant fabrics I had in my studio. I'm still working on using up more of the beautiful fabrics I have accumulated over the years and I'm currently experimenting with making puff ball bags. They will be launching very soon!

My future plans are to launch a range of cool dresses that you can throw on and go about your day. And also to experiment with jewellery more; I recently got started with carving my designs on wax and I'm totally hooked.

My jewellery and everything you see on my website is handmade to order here in Thessaloniki.
